Poetry journey begun: Photos and trailer of the first week of rehearsals for ‘Luft’

The commissioned work by Gaetano Posterino as guest choreographer for the Deutsche Tanzkompanie continues the company’s cycle of elements that has spanned several seasons. Following fire in 2023 and water in 2024, this work centres on the element of air.

Jury for the 6th Premio Danza Calabria selected
Gaetano Posterino has put together this year’s jury for the next edition of the international competition in southern Italy: He will be joined on the podium by Joy Womack, internationally renowned ballet star from Paris, Marcel Leemann, ballet director at the Innsbruck State Theatre, and Dario Lupinacci, teacher at the Peparini Academy Rome.

“Second Skin” at dance gala in Puchheim PUC
Today, the prize-winner ‘Second Skin’ by Gaetano Posterino was performed at a dance gala at the PUC Puchheim cultural centre near Munich. The five young dancers gave their all and the audience in the packed hall thanked them with long-lasting applause.

Tanzfestival Bielefeld: First workshop week comes to an end
In July, Gaetano Posterino was once again a guest professor at the Bielefeld Dance Festival. Many wanted to study modern and ballet with him every day for a whole week. And in the evening, the choreographies they had worked on were performed open air on the Rathausplatz.

The premiere of ‘Die Fledermaus’ at the Neustrelitz State Theatre was a great success with the audience. The premiere audience gave the soloists, opera chorus and German Dance Company standing ovations and cheers lasting several minutes.

Gaetano Posterino presented a new short work entitled ‘Rise to Fall’ for five dancers at the gala in the Teatro Auditorium Unical in Rende, Italy. The gala took place every year as part of the Premio Danza Calabria.
