What if
With seven scenes, the contemporary stage dance work poses the question of what happens if you allow yourself to do what you feel like doing at that moment, even for just a few minutes. How much time is lost before you make a decision, only to have to admit you made a mistake later. How much life is lost because you don’t have the courage to do what you really want – because you want to remain noncommittal, unbound, and often only seemingly free. The play focuses on quick decisions and spontaneity.
Zwischen Himmel und Dir
The contemporary stage dance work is inspired by sociological and psychological approaches and deals with the distance to oneself and to others. In eight scenes, it is about being a stranger to oneself, one’s body and the world that surrounds everyone in a different way. No one remains invisible. Everyone remains within their own boundaries. Or maybe not? Avant-garde, expressive and very agile dance theatre with humorous and satirical moments.
Pink and Blue
‘Pink and Blue’ is a contemporary dance theatre piece in 10 images. The piece approaches the question of which affiliation belongs to whom, or not – or does it? Women dance men and vice versa, there are moments that evoke closeness and achieve distance, that play with nudity and show what wants to remain hidden. ‘We are all different, and in that we are all the same,’ says Posterino. ‘We are not just what we seem. Even if we all have an attention deficit, it’s always about the longing for acceptance. That requires tolerance. And we may have been further along in that respect than we are today.’
Mondo Paradiso
‘Mondo Paradiso’ has many narrative levels: Dance and video images intertwine and interlock. The theme of sculpture will characterise the space in which the dancers move. It is about destruction and renewal, also about the limitation of the body, and thus about the limitation of life. The video images complement the space. And in six scenes, dance will be used to emphasise the urgency of the matter.
Through my Eyes
‘Through my Eyes’ is a tribute to the unique facets of movement, facial expressions and gestures. Perfection is nothing other than perfection. The piece explores the fascination with the individuality of movements, facial expressions and gestures, with the treacherous, playful, unconscious, transparent, and the interest in the child that lies dormant in every human being and that can still express itself eloquently and precisely if its language is understood. In this contemporary dance theatre piece with seven scenes, the dancers reflect on these aspects through the eyes of the choreographer.
Love me if you can!
‘Love me if you can!’ is a collage of eleven scenes and basically revolves around the eternal themes of loneliness, longing and the search for love. A woman lives through love, rejection, hate and passion in the storyline. And in the end, she finds her own identity and her own path. In a dynamic dance round dance to soul music from the sixties, the dancers can be experienced up close and personal in a modern neoclassical choreography.
Enemy in the figure
The title is inspired by a passage from the English version of the novel ‘Call me by your name’ by Andre Aciman. The work revolves around the intense psychological and emotional network in a couple’s relationship. Initially emotionally separated in two cones of light, they then find each other. The danced dialogues alternate between intimate togetherness, affection and rejection, power games and madness. Love and aggression intertwine. And in the end, the roles are reversed.
Zone
The piece is about a limited zone in which you can live, move – or dance. Outside this zone, people are not allowed. In a duet, the two people, left alone, try to come to terms with the situation and themselves. And bravely test the limits of the permitted space. ‘Zone’ received an award at an international competition in Varna.
